Yarra Junction Accommodation, Hotels, Tours & Information

Yarra Junction

A township in the eastern sector of the Yarra Ranges Shire, Yarra Junction is at the centre of a grape-growing region whose climatic conditions, similar to Burgundy, allow winemakers to produce wines of distinct varietal character with the delicacy, elegance and intensity fanciers have come to expect from the Yarra Valley.

The Junction is also home to one of Australia's most successful quarterhorse studs, Triandibo, but visitors must make an appointment to visit the farm.

One of the shire"s best kept secrets is the Karwarra Australian Plant Garden at Kalorama, overlooking Sylvan Dam. The 2 hectare Karwarra reserve grows more than 1800 different Australian species in both landscaped garden and bushland settings.

From Yarra Junction you are within comfortable travelling distance of such internationally acclaimed attractions as the Healesville Sanctuary and the Puffing Billy Railway and the natural beauty spots of the Dandenong Ranges.
