Head to Kings Creek Station. Together with its daily cattle operations, Kings Creek Station herds and exports wild camels to Arabian countries for breeding and racing. Following lunch (own expense) travel through the outback and cross the mighty Finke River, one of the oldest rivers in the world. The Finke passes through Glen Helen Gorge, then meanders southeast over the Missionary Plain. Pass the MacDonnell Ranges on your way into Alice Springs, arriving at approximately 6.30 p.m. The Alice' is a thriving outback centre, famous for the spirit of its locals and the natural wonders that surround it. The West and East MacDonnell ranges straddle the town and their gorges and chasms set the scene for a range of adventure activities. Beyond the ranges stretch the Simpson and Tanami deserts, where Aboriginal people have lived for thousands of years.
