Banyo

Set in a narrow north-eastern residential strip sandwiched by the Virginia golf course on the west and by the Nudgee golf course and the Brisbane Airport precinct on the east, is the northern Brisbane suburb of Banyo.

Banyo is within easy reach of two of Brisbane"s contrasting attractions - Alma Park Zoo and Tropical Palm Gardens at Kallangur and, a little further on, the Abbey Museum of Art and Archaeology at Caboolture.

Alma Park Zoo, 28km north of the Brisbane CBD, extends over 18ha and its garden environment is home to a comprehensive range of native animals and such exotic visitors as grizzly bears, Malayan sun bears, leopard, monkeys and deer.

The Abbey Museum houses an extensive collection of artefacts from almost the entire range of human history.
