Taylors Arm

The Nambucca Valley town of Taylors Arm is located a pleasant 25 km drive west of Macksville, the sealed road following for much of the way, and occasionally crossing, the Taylors Arm, a body of water branching off the Nambucca River at Macksville.

The town's main claim to fame is as the home of the Pub With No Beer, as made famous by the country song of the same name, performed by Slim Dusty, a hit in Australia, Ireland and England in the 1950s. These days the roads are better, the deliveries more regular and reliable, so rest assured you will be able to get a beer. Opposite the pub are a tennis court, barbecues and children's playground.

Easter 2005 sees the resumption of the Pub With No Beer Festival, a regular event in the early 1980s, and it is hoped that the event continues to be staged annually. Food stalls, famed country music performers and more.
